No less than 17 security checks between Durbs and DC. But the actual process of immigration was quick and friendly.
A day to kill waiting for Ida at Dulles Int so headed off to the Air and Space museum...wow! All free and wonderfully enthusiastic old gents as guides. 
Can not believe how much bigger in real life the Shuttle is and how much more of a tin can the Gemini space craft were. Resolved to finish my flying lessons here lies adventure! Hollies here so all is shut and streets quiet. Fixing Ida's powerpoint this morning and now headin off to map the city and translate my virtual experience to 3D. Tomorrow can start to prep for bike trip in earnest.
